The most advanced Thatcham S5 D-ID from Smartrack / Global Telemetrics. The Thatcham S5 unit offers excellent security and meets all insurance requirements for a very fair price. The SmarTrack Category S5 VTS has been tested to Thatcham TQA standard. The device operates using GPS/GLONASS, GPRS and GSM technology. Having an in-built battery back-up, the device has the ability to remain operational even when the vehicle’s power supply is removed. The device monitors the battery voltage level and detects if the Driver Recognition System has been activated.

Unlike any other S5 tracking system it uses the owners Smart phone as a tag rather than carrying the ADR tags in your pocket, you MUST carry your smartphone with you when driving the vehicle

and have the app open in the background to use your phone as an ADR tag.
